Founded in 1983, BPC is a membership-based, non-profit organization that advocates for the balanced use and regulation of San Francisco Bay-Delta resources to ensure the economic prosperity and environmental protection of the region.
BPC provides its members with the up-to-date information they need on rules and regulations, breaking news on issues and bay projects, permit assistance, advocacy, and strategic responses to proposed regulations and legislation.
BPC is a major influence on permit and planning decisions that are made around the Bay-Delta region. The condition of the Bay and the quality of life for citizens in the region is affected by dynamic interactions; flux among economic and environmental factors; and demographic and social trends. The Bay is an interconnected and interdependent ecosystem. Having input on the regulation and management of our Bay-Delta resources is critically important to ensure a balanced future.
